FAQ
Cam Follower Bearing FAQ — KR / KRV Series
What is a stud type cam follower?
It is a track roller built around a threaded stud rather than a separate inner-ring bore. The outer ring runs on a cam, rail or track.
What dimensions should I measure first?
Measure roller outside diameter D, roller width C, stud diameter, thread size/pitch and the available stud projection. Also identify the running-surface profile.
Are EP-KR models automatically interchangeable with IKO CF models?
No blanket claim is made. The published table shows CF reference designations. Verify the measurable interface and ordered execution before replacement.
What do KRE / KRVE mean?
The specification notes these as the designations used for eccentric executions of KR/KRV series bearings.
What material is used?
The supplied dimension/rating table does not state a material grade. If your project requires GCr15, SUJ2, stainless or another defined material, include that requirement in the RFQ.
Do you offer sealed or pre-greased versions?
Sealing and lubrication execution should be confirmed for the ordered configuration. State contamination, cleanliness and re-lubrication requirements in the enquiry.
Why is there no unit next to C and C0?
The dimension/rating table prints the numerical basic-load-rating values but not the unit. We therefore do not invent a unit on this site. Confirm the unit convention before engineering calculations.
How do I order a replacement from a legacy NAKD code?
Use the cross-reference table to identify the corresponding KR/KRV and CF row, then verify the thread and principal dimensions.
Can I request a custom eccentric stud?
Send the required eccentric offset, stud interface, drawing and application. Feasibility must be reviewed for the requested configuration.
What should be included in an RFQ?
Existing model/reference, quantity, dimensions, application, load direction, speed/cycle details, environment, lubrication/sealing needs and any material or documentation requirement.
Still have a model question?
Send the model, quantity, mating-track details and application notes for a quotation review.
