Applications
Applications for Stud Type Cam Followers
KR/KRV cam followers are used where a stud-mounted roller follows a cam, rail or track. The useful selection questions change with the machine: compact automation is sensitive to access and cycle rate, conveyors bring contamination and track wear into the picture, while semiconductor equipment adds tighter cleanliness requirements.
Machine Tools & CNC
Guide tracks, indexing mechanisms, tool handling and auxiliary machine motion.
Industrial Robots & Automation
Compact cam paths, transfer units, grippers, fixtures and linear automation modules.
Semiconductor & Electronics
Precision handling and inspection mechanisms where grease, particles and access matter.
Conveyor & Material Handling
Track-guided carriers, indexing stations and repeated transfer duty.
Printing & Packaging
Cam-driven feeding, folding, registration and transfer functions.
Start with the Interface, Then Add the Duty
Record the roller outside diameter, roller width, stud diameter, thread and running-surface profile first. Then add the real application conditions: track alignment, load direction, cycle pattern, contamination, lubrication access and any eccentric adjustment requirement. A familiar KR, KRV or CF code is useful for finding a candidate size, but it does not replace the interface check.
