Why the Stud Thread Is a Critical Cam Follower Dimension
Outside diameter gets most of the attention in model searches, but the stud thread is often the dimension that decides whether a replacement can be installed at all. The EP-KR range in this catalogue moves from M5 x 0.8 at KR13 to M30 x 1.5 at KR80-KR90.
Measure Pitch, Not Just Diameter
Two studs can look nearly identical while using different pitches. Check both nominal diameter and pitch, and inspect the shoulder/support geometry behind the thread. Do not force a near-match into the machine.
Keep Thread Data Beside the Cross Reference
When an RFQ begins with CF12 or NAKD30, add the measured thread before submitting it. That turns a legacy designation into a verifiable interface.
